Only 3 people saw the lineart of this, so I'll start new. I'm sure some of you might know about my novel After Images [link] or at least have heard of or seen pictures of my character Espomage, because I'm always begging for people to do fanart for it. Well Espomage and his buddies is 1 HALF of the After Images story.... yes 1 half.
The other half belongs to a human who I've tried many times to draw and finally got him right this time!!!! This is Gordon Image, the star of After Images' more political and serious storyline. He lives in the year 2202 and consumerism and captialism has gone way out of control... but he seems to be the ONLY one who notices this. Now there's a secret army called Salvation Earth that wants to destroy every last human on Earth. Gordon is conscripted into the army... he still feels the corrupt world is still worth saving, so he doesn't turn sides or anything......................................................... not hint............................
As for the crazy haired guy in the background???? Who is he? Wouldn't you like to know.....
Enough story. This picture was by far my most difficult and tedious to do. One reason was that it had a whole wack load of lines I had to colour over. Another reason was that I AM HORRIBLE at drawing humans.... I got SOOOO much wrong with Gordon's face and it is my best one....
. Also, because of the very odd and powerful lighting, Gordon's shading and shadows just don't look right.... he almost looks like he were South American, which actually might be more acurate in 2202 with racial mixing and all.
And it pained me sooooo much to add the fade effects to the *censored* guy in the background. HIS HAIR WAS SSOOOO AWESOME and SHINY and all of hims was so nuts. It still is, but not as much anymore.
And in case any of you think I was copying DBZ or something, I wasn't. I was using Aver's hair on this guy, then I made it blonde and then I made it so awesomely spikey so it looked like an aboriginal chief's feathered hat or something. It makes perfect sense storywise..... ACK!!! Too many spoilers!!!
